Alight Solutions, a leader in benefits, payroll and cloud solutions, today announced the appointment of Stephan Scholl as chief executive officer, effective April 13.

Daniel Henson, chairman of the board of directors of Alight Solutions, said: “Stephan is a highly talented executive with deep experience helping build businesses into global leaders in the fast-growing cloud enterprise software and services sector. I look forward to partnering with him to fuel Alight’s continued expansion and success in the years ahead.”

Stephan Scholl added: “I am honored to take on this new role and join the world-class team at Alight. Alight is a trusted partner to thousands of businesses – including half the Fortune 500 – delivering technology solutions and services that help them effectively manage their complex human resources challenges and enable their employees to make smart decisions about their health, wealth and work. Building on that strong foundation, I look forward to helping drive its continued growth, and expansion into new services.”

Most recently, Mr. Scholl was a senior executive at Infor between 2010 and 2018 —including serving as president from 2012-18 -- helping transform that business into a global leader in enterprise cloud software and services. During his tenure, Infor doubled its revenue and emerged as the third-largest enterprise resource planning (ERP) software company in the world. Prior to Infor, Mr. Scholl served in various senior roles at both Oracle and Peoplesoft for more than a decade. He is a graduate of McGill University.

Mr. Scholl succeeds Chris Michalak as CEO of Alight, who will become a senior advisor to Alight and aid in a smooth transition.

Mr. Henson added: “The board thanks Chris for his service in helping to build Alight into the leading provider of mission-critical benefits, payroll and cloud solutions to some of the world’s largest and most complex companies. We wish him the best moving forward.”
