Chris Michalak is CEO of Alight Solutions and a member of its board of directors. He is responsible for the strategic direction, investment decisions and business performance of Alight, a leader in benefits, payroll and cloud solutions. Focused on growth and innovation, Chris leads, motivates and engages the company’s 15,000 colleagues across 29 countries to serve more than 3,250 clients, including 50% of the Fortune 500.
Before assuming leadership of Alight, Chris was global chief commercial officer at Aon Hewitt. His responsibilities included leading global sales and accounts strategy and directly managing all U.S. sales and accounts functions. Chris also led Aon Hewitt’s global Client Promise initiative, which established a clear set of commitments to all clients and put in place a methodology for assessing the company’s performance to ensure it met or exceeded client expectations. Previously, Chris was the CEO of Buck Consultants, a global HR consulting firm.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
As Alight Solutions’ chief financial officer, Katie Rooney leads the finance organization and manages all aspects of financial management and reporting for the business.
Previously, Katie was the CFO for Aon Hewitt. Prior to that, she was the CFO for Aon Hewitt’s Outsourcing business and global head of financial planning and analysis. Katie also led corporate finance, corporate M&A and financial risk management activities within Treasury at Aon before moving to Aon Hewitt. Her primary responsibilities included raising capital, optimizing overall cost of capital and discretionary cash spending, managing merger and acquisition activity and overall risk management strategies. She also worked as the COO, Global Finance and Shared Services under Aon’s CFO, leading key global initiatives to drive corporate profitability and shareholder value creation.
Before joining Aon, Katie was a vice president, investment banking at Morgan Stanley. Katie was accountable for primary and secondary coverage of numerous medical technology companies and involved in all aspects of debt, equity and M&A activities, including valuation, positioning and shareholder relations.
Katie serves on the Board of Trustees for Window To The World Communications, Inc., owner of WTTW and WFMT.
Katie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Michigan.
As president of Alight’s Benefits business, Brannon Lacey is responsible for driving the growth, development and strategy for Alight’s health and wealth solutions and related services. Brannon and his team bring together Alight’s health and wealth expertise and proprietary technologies to help millions of people enroll in their benefits, navigate and manage their health and retirement needs in order to improve their wellbeing.
Before joining Alight, Brannon was senior vice president and general manager of Application Services at Rackspace. He has also held the role of vice president and general manager of multiple business units at Rackspace, in addition to a year as chief of staff to the CEO. Before joining Rackspace, Brannon was a principal at Samsung Ventures where he led venture capital investments for mobility products. He has also held a variety of strategic technology consulting and leadership roles at Samsung and Accenture.
Brannon brings strong product management and broad expertise in general management, product development, operations, account management, corporate development and strategy, with a passion for technology that was ignited early in his career as a software developer.
In his free time, Brannon enjoys spending time with his kids, challenging himself physically and exploring the world alongside his wife.
Brannon holds a degree in management information systems and entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration from the Columbia University Business School.
As president of Alight’s Cloud & Payroll business, Colin leads more than 4,000 colleagues around the world responsible for helping clients navigate the complexity of designing, building and supporting cloud-based financial, HR and payroll systems. Colin is responsible for all areas of go-to-market, client relations, delivery and ultimately client satisfaction.
During his more than 20 year career at Alight and its predecessor organizations, Colin has held a variety of roles across the business. Most recently he led product strategy for Alight’s cloud and payroll business. Colin was instrumental in successfully navigating some of the company’s key acquisitions including OmniPoint, Kloud, Future Knowledge, Carlson Management, Appirio and NGA HR.
Colin began his career in the company’s benefits administration business in the technology practice deploying clients on its proprietary benefits platform. In 2004, Colin helped form Hewitt’s first HR BPO business transitioning to Peoplesoft and SAP.
Colin has deep expertise in the ERP business and regularly speaks at major industry events including Workday Rising and HR Tech. Colin enjoys working with clients to solve complex problems allowing them to deliver on key business objectives and engage their people.
In his free time, Colin enjoys spending time with his kids, golfing, running and watching Chicago sports teams.

As chief commercial officer, Andy Monshaw leads Alight’s go-to-market strategy and is accountable for growth, client success and retention. Andy’s responsibilities span account management, marketing, commercial operations and sales enablement.
Andy has more than 30 years of finance, general management and commercial leadership experience. Most recently, he served as CEO of NGA HR, which was acquired by Alight Solutions in November 2019. Andy joined NGA in November 2015 as president of the Enterprise segment.
Before joining NGA HR, Andy spent three decades in the information technology industry. He was a senior executive with IBM where he led various financial organizations and several global business units, including serving as chief operating officer of IBM Japan.
Andy is chairman of the board for Open Legacy, an open-standard hybrid integration platform provider and serves on the board of directors of Data Dynamics, a provider of storage management solutions for unstructured data. He also serves as treasurer of the New York Metro chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and finance from Rutgers University.
Maria Yao leads the full breadth of delivery operations across Alight Solutions. Responsible for leading Alight’s thousands of service delivery colleagues, Maria is deeply knowledgeable when it comes to understanding the needs of Alight’s clients and how to better serve them. She thrives on creating an engaging environment for colleagues by embracing opportunities created through operational efficiencies using the latest technology, including robotics and automation.
Most recently, Maria was executive vice president, HR & Financial Solutions at Alight, where she led Alight’s cloud and hosted businesses in addition to supporting the shared services solutions that support them (tax, garnishments, talent, quality, analytics and automation). Maria started her career in benefits outsourcing at Alight’s predecessor companies where she held a number of operational and leadership roles. She was instrumental in Alight’s expansion into the HR business process outsourcing business and in defining and incubating the company’s entry into the middle market for health solutions.
Maria was recognized as one of Business Insurance’s 2012 Women to Watch.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ripon College.
Kelly Clark serves as chief technology and digital officer for Alight Solutions. He leads Alight’s overall technology strategy including the design, development and implementation of new technology solutions across all areas of Alight’s business. In addition, Kelly is responsible for Alight’s technology infrastructure, data security and privacy.
Kelly’s expertise spans application development, infrastructure, operations and data analytics, largely in health and related industries. This broad skill set allows him to connect technology and digital solutions to business and client needs.
Before joining Alight, Kelly was chief information officer with MAXIMUS, a leading operator of government health and human services programs. His responsibilities included establishing and executing the company’s global technology strategy. In his role, Kelly ensured that all technology initiatives supported the key objectives of MAXIMUS and its global business units. Previously, Kelly held a variety of leadership technology and operational positions at United Health Group, including CIO of OptumHealth.
Kelly previously served on the Hewlett Packard and Uniphy advisory boards.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a master’s degree in city planning/architecture from the University of Manitoba.
Paulette Dodson is an experienced strategic, legal and operational executive with over 30 years of experience as a trusted advisor to CEOs and boards of directors of Fortune 500 and large privately held companies. As general counsel at Alight Solutions, Paulette provides strategic advice and legal expertise on matters related to board governance, mergers & acquisitions and corporate compliance.
Before joining Alight, Paulette was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of PetSmart, Inc. During her time at PetSmart she helped lead the board and company through leadership changes and a leveraged buyout. Paulette also served in various roles at Sara Lee Corporation, including general counsel and corporate secretary, and chief counsel for North America.
Paulette also enjoyed a 14-year career at Tribune Company where she was assistant general counsel of publishing, responsible for managing legal affairs for the operating units of the publishing business across the U.S., as well as general counsel to the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine and the Daily Press in Virginia.
Paulette is on the board of Mather Lifeways, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating senior residences and other ventures related to aging well. Recently, Paulette also served on the Board of Trustees of Phoenix Country Day School, a college preparatory school in Arizona where she was the chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Executive and Finance Committees.
Paulette holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in urban legal studies from City College of New York and a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School.
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Colon McLean is responsible for leading Alight Solutions’ global people strategy including enhancing and reinforcing its values-based culture, and attracting, retaining and developing its people.
An experienced human resources executive with over 30 years of HR leadership experience in financial services, energy and higher education, Colon is known as a transformational HR leader focused on aligning performance and processes with business objectives to drive results. In his past roles, he has designed and implemented global compensation, incentives and talent retention programs among other notable achievements.
Most recently, Colon served as CHRO of The Warranty Group, where he led a variety of restructuring events. Before joining The Warranty Group, Colon was CHRO at Career Education Corporation where he focused on streamlining the HR service delivery model, developed a leadership competency model and implemented a company-wide talent review and succession planning process. Colon began his career with Duke Energy Corporation and held a variety of positions over his 22-year career at the organization including co-head of human resources.
Colon is a former member of the board of directors and past chairman of the HR Management Association of Chicago.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wingate University, Wingate, N.C and a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
Dinesh Tulsiani heads strategy and corporate development at Alight. Dinesh drives Alight’s M&A, strategic alliances, and other opportunities that generate growth for the business.
Before joining Alight, Dinesh led corporate development for Aon’s HR solutions segment. He also held several other key strategic roles including senior vice president corporate strategy at Aon and vice president corporate development and strategy at Hewitt Associates. Before joining Hewitt, Dinesh worked at IHS Markit and EY.
Dinesh earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and economics from Delhi University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
In her role as chief or staff at Alight Solutions, Andrea W. Armstrong is responsible for driving key initiatives to further the company’s strategic priorities on behalf of the CEO. A strong and accomplished leader, Andrea has transformed struggling business units into high-performing teams and driven double-digit revenue growth within multiple business segments.
Andrea most recently served as vice president, global commercial operations at Aon Hewitt, responsible for defining and using sales disciplines to effectively drive new business. In this role, Andrea led a variety of complementary commercial teams, including opportunity management, client services, business performance management and research and business intelligence.
Previous roles at Aon Hewitt included responsibility for client delivery, financial results and people management for some of the company’s largest clients. While leading the Point Solutions business, Andrea also served as the chief executive officer for Hewitt Financial Services (HFS), a wholly owned broker/dealer subsidiary of Hewitt Associates, and served as the Hewitt Money Market (HMM) president.
Prior to joining Aon Hewitt, she served as sales leader and special districts divisional leader at Coregis Insurance, a subsidiary of GE Capital, where she doubled the revenue of the business in just 2.5 years. Prior to that, she spent almost five years at Great American Insurance Company with responsibilities in underwriting, marketing and operations management.
Andrea sits on the Board for the Illinois Chapter for Gift of Adoption.
Andrea earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati.
